Looks interesting but the game itself is very fuzzy to me, even on fullscreen. I'm on an Opera browser so I don't know if other web browsers have the same problem.
The middle window also feels too tight, too small and probably should have more presence for easier read since it's the 'main game' so to speak. Clicking on the Skill Tab says 'Maps Coming Soon'.
Thanks for the feedback. When I open it in Opera it is not fuzzy. What is the screen resolution of the device you are playing this on? Are you on a PC, Tablet, or Phone?
As for it being too tight. This game was designed for phones first in mind. The two panels on the sides on your phone side into view when you want them. I figured this might be the best way to display it on a PC or Tablet. This may make sense once the other tabs are more developed and can be shown off. But you are probably right, I should look into designing a better interface for landscape displays.
I'm playing on my laptop so PC, Windows 10, with a 1366x768 screen resolution. I just tried it on Chrome as well but still looked fuzzy so might be on my end.
I also noticed when you only got one item or objective that it scrunches the text but it becomes normal when another item/objective is added.
There's also a part where the code is broken for Edward's name.
I think it would also be nice if the items on the objectives would be crossed out or a check mark when we get or bought the items so we don't confuse what we still need.
Thanks for the feedback. I need to do some digging to see what is wrong with the two side panels. I thought they were updating properly, but I never tested the game in this view. I always play the game like it is meant to on the phone, sort of like your last screenshot. So I never see the two side panels when I play. Uploading to itch.io was sort of a last minute decision. I just needed to do it. Looks like I need to get some high-res assets, such as the font.
I will look into the items and quest logs bunching up. As for the crossing off of the quest log. That is a good idea. I think I know how I can make that modification. But it might be awhile before that is implemented. Some of the other issues you pointed out I already knew about and have delt with. I just need to fix some other things before I update.
Thanks again for the feedback, I hope you come back to see what else I have in store.
Not a problem! Looking forward to the update. :)
I’d be interested in what you think of the games UI now? It’s changed quite a bit in the last 4 years.
